Halloween Pop-Up 'Lost Temple Tavern'

Margaritaville Hotel San Diego is inviting guests to leave paradise behind this Halloween season as LandShark Bar & Grill transforms into “Lost Temple Tavern,” a haunted jungle bar running from Saturday, October 10 through Saturday, October 31, 2026. Set within the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, Lost Temple Tavern will transport guests to an abandoned tropical outpost overtaken by twisted vines, ancient relics and mysterious forces lurking deep within the jungle. The immersive Halloween transformation will blend Margaritaville’s classic tropical getaway with eerie décor and spooky surprises.

DJ: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM

“Lost Temple Tavern takes the familiar tropical escape of LandShark and turns it completely on its head for Halloween,” said Miguel Lopez, General Manager of Margaritaville Hotel San Diego. “Guests can expect an experience that feels like they’ve stumbled upon a forgotten temple hidden deep in the jungle, with unexpected details around every corner. We’re excited to create a Halloween experience that is playful, immersive and distinctly San Diego.”

From October 10–31, guests will discover an overgrown haunted jungle environment filled with tropical skeletons, cursed castaways, ancient artifacts and eerie twists on familiar island elements. Throughout the tavern, atmospheric details and photo-worthy moments will encourage guests to explore the space and uncover the story of a tropical paradise that has been mysteriously lost.

Guests can also enjoy tropical cocktails and island-inspired food specials available for purchase. The experience will also feature immersive entertainment and interactive elements throughout the run, with additional mystical and character-driven experiences currently being explored. While LandShark Bar & Grill will continue serving breakfast, lunch and dinner during its regular operating hours, the Lost Temple Tavern transformation will be especially immersive after dark. On Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 7:30 p.m., a live DJ will add to the nighttime atmosphere with music and entertainment.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costume and ready to venture into the unknown. Located inside LandShark Bar & Grill at Margaritaville Hotel San Diego, “Lost Temple Tavern” runs every day from 7 am until close, beginning Saturday, October 10 and through the month of October.
