Submit Your Event

Before you submit an event, please read our event submission guidelines.

Thank you for your interest in the Community Events Calendar. These guidelines will help ensure the successful inclusion of your event in our calendar on both kpbs.org and thefinestsd.org.

Please allow 4-5 business days for your event submission to be reviewed, edited and posted to the calendar. 

1. Use the online event submission form below.
2. Demand for the events calendar is high and we are unable to accept press releases for manual entry. Priority is given to events submitted through the online form.
3. Submit your listing one to two weeks (or more) before your event.
4. Proofread your submission. Event listings that need significant edits to grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. will not be accepted for publication.
5. Include an engaging, high-quality photograph in jpg or png format that represents your event. Real photos featuring faces, places and vibrant colors or images look best on the site and will create more engagement for your event. Please refrain from submitting text-heavy graphics.
6. Make sure your event is local and intended for a broad public audience. Events happening outside the greater San Diego region will not be accepted for publication.
7. Accepted event submissions will be published as event calendar listings on both kpbs.org and thefinestsd.org.
8. PLEASE BE SURE TO LET US KNOW IF YOUR EVENT GETS CANCELED. SEND AN EMAIL TO: eventscalendar@kpbs.org
