Mayor Sanders Vetoes City Council Pay Raise
The San Diego City Council decided to not seek a pay raise. But more than 3,000 city employees do make more than the city council, whose salary is $75,000 per year.
Tom Fudge: The San Diego City Council will not give themselves a 24 percent pay increase. Mayor Jerry Sanders vetoed their proposal, and last night the council decided to let the veto stand. Council members make $75,000 annually, which is less money than 3,000 other city employees make.
