Sergio Romo was an unstoppable closer for the San Francisco Giants during their World Series championship run. But during Wednesday’s parade in the city, it's not his game heroics that are creating a social media buzz — it's his shirt.

Romo, whose father was the son of an immigrant farm worker, is wearing a simple black t-shirt. Stated boldly across the front: “I just look illegal.” Latino activists are ecstatic.

The Los Angeles Times has a story on his upbringing in the small California town of Brawley. It’s 20 miles from the border and has produced 21 major and minor league players.
