Family and friends of captured U.S. soldier Spc. Alex Jimenez are holding onto their hopes that he will be found alive, even though al-Qaida linked militants have released a videotape claiming the soldier has been killed.
Jimenez, a 25-year-old from Lawrence, Mass., has been missing since May 12, when his Humvee was ambushed during a patrol south of Baghdad. Pvt. Byron Fouty, 19, of Waterford, Mich., is still missing. The body of a third soldier involved in the attack, Pfc. Joseph Anzack, 20, of Torrance, Calif., was recovered last month.
