A brush fire in Vista Monday afternoon led to some homes being evacuated, according to authorities.
The fire was reported at 4:15 p.m. in the 200 block of East Bobier Drive near North Santa Fe Avenue, a dispatcher for North County Fire said.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department had deputies staged at a few intersections to keep traffic away from the area, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
Most of the traffic control and evacuations were along Cananea Street, including where it intersects with North Santa Fe Avenue, Calera Street and North Citrus Avenue.
At least 13 units had responded to the fire within the first hour, the fire dispatcher said.
The fire was put out before 7:30 p.m., according to the Sheriff's Department. There were no reports of injuries, and the cause of the fire not been determined.
