This beginner-friendly class offers an introduction to the fundamentals of crochet, taught by self-taught designer CraftedbyT. You will learn the core skills of chaining, single crochet, and double crochet, and how to read simple written patterns, all while enjoying calming herbal tea. The project to be made in class is a granny square to showcase your new skills. All materials are provided, including yarn, hooks, and a booklet. If you wish to bring your own supplies, we suggest bringing worsted-weight (4) yarn and a 5.0 mm (H-8) hook. No experience necessary.   • Learn to wet felt a gorgeous bowl! In this 3-hour workshop you will learn the ancient art of wet felting – the process of loose wool becoming a fabric – and create & design one felted bowl (about 4-5”). The instructor will lead you, with easy steps, through the whole making of your bowl. First you will layer soft merino wool and use pieces of yarn to add color and texture details. Various yarn will be provided but if you have some special one at home, please feel free to bring it! Then your hands will be getting wet and soapy during the “sculpting” or felting process. Towels will be provided. DIY kits will be available for purchase at the end of class. They are perfect as a gift or for you to make more bowls at home. No experience necessary. Ages 14+ welcome! All materials are provided.
