  • Art Scene West Gallery is pleased to present over thirty paintings encompassing California Landscapes by artists Darrel Mcpherson and John Cornfield. A gallery reception will take place Saturday, April 30th from 3p.m.-7p.m.. Darrel McPherson has been an active painter for over 50 years and his works have been collected globally and shown in multiple galleries across the country. Ranging in artistic style from impressionism to figurativism, McPherson consistently inspires viewers with his soft color palette and dreamy landscapes. John Cornfield has been studying drawing and painting for over 20 years, including workshops with many of the top plein air artists in the country. Inspired by an older generation of Southwest and California Impressionists, his landscapes follow in their unique use of color and form. John’s paintings are found in private and public collections and have been exhibited in galleries in La Quinta, Santa Monica, Montecito, Miami and Sonoma. This exhibition is representative of a fresh energy and excitement in the Solana Beach Design District, where Art Scene West Gallery is promoting local art creation and collaboration.

About the Authors: Scarlett St. Clair is the bestselling author of the Hades X Persephone Saga, the Hades Saga, KING OF BATTLE & BLOOD, and WHEN STARS COME OUT. She has a Master's degree in Library Science and Information Studies and a Bachelors in English Writing. She is also a proud citizen of the Muscogee Nation. She is obsessed with Greek Mythology, murder mysteries, and the afterlife. Scarlett is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You can find pictures of her adorable dog Adelaide on her Instagram at @authorscarlettstclair, book (and makeup!) content at TikTok at @authorscarlettstclair, and updates on all her fiction at www.scarlettstclair.com. Piper C.J., author of the bisexual fantasy series The Night and Its Moon, is a photographer, hobby linguist, and french fry enthusiast. She has an M.A. in Folklore, and a B.A. in Broadcasting, which she used in her former life as a morning show weather girl, hockey podcaster, and in audio documentary work. Now when she isn't playing with her dogs, Arrow and Applesauce, she's making tiktoks, studying Vietnamese, or writing fantasy very, very quickly. She lives in North Dakota About "Queen of Myth and Monsters": Isolde, newly coronated queen, has finally found a king worthy of her in the vampire Adrian. But their love for each other has cost Isolde her father and her homeland. With two opposing goddesses playing mortals and vampires against one another, Isolde is uncertain who her allies are in the vampire stronghold of Revekka. Now, as politics in the Red Palace grow more underhanded, inexplicable monster attacks plague the villages, and a deadly crimson mist threatens all of Cordova, Isolde must trust in the bond she's formed with Adrian, even as she learns troubling information about his complicated past. About "The Night and Its Moon": Farleigh is just an orphanage. At least, that's what the church would have the people believe, but beautiful orphans Nox and fae-touched Amaris know better. They are commodities for sale, available for purchase by the highest bidder. So when the madame of a notorious brothel in a far-off city offers a king's ransom to purchase Amaris, Nox ends up taking her place — while Amaris is drawn away to the mountains, home of mysterious assassins. Even as they take up new lives and identities, Nox and Amaris never forget one thing: they will stop at nothing to reunite. But the threat of war looms overhead, and the two are inevitably swept into a conflict between human and fae, magic and mundane. With strange new alliances, untested powers, and a bond that neither time nor distance could possibly break, the fate of the realms lies in the hands of two orphans — and the love they hold for each other.
