  • The Oceanside International Film Festival is proud to present an exclusive premiere of ANIMAL KINGDOM’s third episode from the series' sixth and final season, five days before it debuts on television. The Oceanside Intl Film Festival has long held a proud tradition of hosting the cast and crew of TNT's locally produced hit program, ANIMAL KINGDOM, at our events. With the series coming to an epic close this Summer, OIFF is providing this celebratory send-off event for fans and the local community. Attendees of this event will be treated to an early screening of a special episode directed by series star, Shawn Hatosy, who will appear for a special Q&A discussion following the screening. Supported by Visit Oceanside, the event will take place Wednesday June 22, 2022, at the historic Star Theatre, located within the Oceanside Cultural District at 402 N. Coast Hwy, Oceanside, California.
  • The San Diego Automotive Museum (SDAM) will be hosting its monthly Cars & Coffee community event on Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. This is an exciting way to get outside on Sunday at beautiful Balboa Park and see cars of all makes and models while enjoying coffee and donuts courtesy of Donald Sewell from GEICO. The community is invited to visit the museum during Cars & Coffee for a discounted admission price ($10 before 10am) or partake in the completely free event outside with coffee and donuts (while supplies last) for guests to enjoy while browsing the wide array of vehicles. The public is also invited to bring their own cars to display in the parking lot for other spectators to enjoy. Some exciting cars on display in the “Cars with Character Exhibit” include a Gotham police car, Speed Racer, the Ecto- 1 from the 2016 Ghostbusters Film, the Shag Mobile, and the Bat Cycle. This amazing new exhibit also includes Herbie, KITT, the Mystery Machine, and the Pizza Planet truck from Pixar films as well as a car from Jurassic Park.   • The popular ArtWalk Little Italy Summer Series is back! Taking place at the Piazza della Famiglia and the adjacent block of W. Date Street, each one-day show of the ArtWalk Little Italy Summer Series will include thirty select artists exhibiting their stunning works of art. The event will run every other Sunday from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.: June 12, June 26, July 10 and July 24, giving locals and visitors incredible opportunities to purchase one-of-a-kind art from local, national, and international artists in a variety of mediums.   • iDKHOW and Joywave are coming to San Diego for their brand new Welcome to Hellvetica Tour! IDKHOW is the new project led by frontman, multi-instrumentalist, and mastermind Dallon Weekes. The group has yet to release their debut album but already have a string of hit singles under their belt including “Choke”, which clocked over 42 million Spotify streams and “Do It All The Time”, which posted up 22 million Spotify streams as well as a debut EP, 1981 Extended Play that impressively bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums Chart. Joywave have concocted a distinctively modern approach towards music that is both organic and synthetic, much like our own day-to-day lives.   • City of Angels rapper Duckwrth is coming to San Diego for his brand new Chrome Bull Tour! Duckwrth, born Jared Lee, is a recording and visual artist from South Central, Los Angeles. He started developing a cult fan base by appearing on popular TeamBackPack Youtube videos and releasing local mixtapes like "Ducktape" and "Taxfree V1". His first major label release, an XTRA UUGLY Mixtape, vowed to take that vision a step further by blending genres from rock to hip hop to funk and soul and incorporating live elements from guitars to violins. A strong body of work that caught the attention of taste makers around the world with tracks that found its way into syncs for Apple, Amazon, Insecure, Empire and more.   • The American Motorhead Motorcycle Art Show will be held Saturday, July 30 from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. at Prohibition Brewing Co., located at 2004 East Vista Way in Vista, Calif., 92084. The show will be open to the public and proceeds will benefit equipment for Scripps Health’s perinatology program for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies. The family-friendly event will feature motorcycle-themed works of art for sale by painters, leather designers, illustrators and other artists. Local vendors will donate a variety of prizes for raffle drawings, and artists will donate their talents to produce custom skateboard decks for a silent auction. Admission to the art show is free, and raffle tickets, food and beverages and works of art will be available for purchase. Guests can enjoy live music by 8-Track Highway, as well as Prohibition Brewing Co.’s full dining menu and wide selection of craft beers.
