Candidates running in the Encinitas Mayoral and City Council Districts 3 and 4 races in the November 3, 2026 General Election are scheduled to take part in a Candidate Forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of North County San Diego. The live event will take place Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 890 Balour Dr, Encinitas, CA 92024. Candidates, Bruce Ehlers, Rimga Viskanta, Arielle Golden, Ed Sprague, Marco San Antonio and Brad Lefkowits have confirmed their attendance. Conducted by the League of Women Voters of North County San Diego (LWVNCSD), these candidate forums are strictly non-partisan and are structured with trained facilitators to provide a fair and impartial platform for the public to hear directly from candidates about their qualifications, priorities, and plans. Candidates will have equal time for opening and closing statements and to respond to questions submitted in writing by the public. The public is invited to take this opportunity to hear from the candidates and learn where they stand on issues of importance. Lions Tigers & Bears is welcoming fall with an exciting weekend-long Spooky Campover and Pumpkin Bash on Friday, October 23 through Saturday, October 24. Back by popular demand, these beloved events are guaranteed to unleash your wild side this spooky season. The Spooky Campover is a one of a kind camping experience where families can sleep under the stars with the sanctuary animals at Lions Tigers & Bears. This spooky overnighter includes campfire songs, pumpkin carving, a Halloween costume contest, and an all-ages haunted house. To participate, Lions Tigers & Bears asks for a donation of $50 per adult and $35 per child for members, or $80 per adult and $55 per child for non-members. The next morning, head over to the Pumpkin Bash! Pick out a pumpkin to stuff with delicious goodies for the cats and bears to devour. Then, stick around to watch them play with and gobble up their Halloween treats at this family-favorite fall event. Participation for the Pumpkin Bash begins with a donation of $30 per adult and $15 per child for members, or $60 per adult and $35 per child for non-members.
