  • City of Santee residents may drop off unwanted items such as appliances, mattresses, furniture and tree limbs for disposal by WM (This is for household waste only). Goodwill will be on site accepting donations. Here is a list of donation items Goodwill accepts (opens in new window). Be prepared to show proof of residency with a driver's license, gas/electric/water or Waste Management bill. Each household is allowed to dispose of up to four (4) items with WM. Shredding is limited to five (5) bankers boxes per household. No Hazardous Materials - This includes paints, oil, batteries and household or industrial chemicals, etc. No Construction Materials - This includes concrete, brick, drywall and roofing material. No Commercial Vehicles - This includes enclosed U-Haul/rental moving trucks or Business Vehicles. Items Goodwill does not accept (opens in new window)- Tax donation receipts will be provided on site. Due to high demand, the vehicle line may close before 12:00 p.m. if needed to ensure all participants in line are served by the event's conclusion.
