  • Join us at Oceanside Museum of Art for a hands-on Silkscreen Printmaking Workshop on Sunday, April 12, from 2–5 p.m. Guided by artist and educator Frol Boundin, Associate Faculty for Art at MiraCosta College, participants will learn the fundamentals of silkscreen printing and create their own original prints to take home. This workshop is inspired by OMA’s "Matrix Multiplied: Hybrid Approaches to Printmaking" exhibition, which explores the dynamic world of printmaking and the idea of the “matrix,” which is the surface from which multiple prints are created. The exhibition highlights how artists use printmaking techniques to produce repeated images while experimenting with variation, layering, and color. Silkscreen printing is one of the most iconic methods for multiplying images, making it a perfect entry point into the themes of the exhibition. During the session, Frol will introduce the tools and processes of silkscreen printing and guide participants step-by-step through preparing a screen, applying ink, and pulling prints. All materials are included in the workshop fee, and no prior experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy. Come explore the art of making multiples and leave with a set of your own hand-printed works. Ticket Prices: Adult: $75 Member: $55 Space is limited. Register today!
