Methane is 86 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas, and leaks from the Permian Basin alone are the equivalent of burning 50 train cars full of coal every single day. Sempra is trying to hook us onto this gas for the next 30 years and is accelerating LNG transport around the world. Not only will this massively exacerbate global warming, but it is also ruining the health of people in frontline communities and will keep us from transitioning to a clean energy future.
