In this course, we will learn to read and write, hold short conversations, and begin growing our knowledge of grammar, vocabulary and culture. We will begin with printed and cursive letters, basic greetings and how to conjugate verbs in the present tense. We will also learn numbers, colors, dates and times—and we will play games, recite songs and poems, and begin to see glimpses of the Yiddish world, past and present.
