Back by popular demand, the German American Societies of San Diego will be hosting another Traditional Christmas Market in the Biergarten on two days: Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday Dec. 14, 2025. Bundle up in [San Diego] winter attire to shop for homemade goods and holiday gifts, listen to live music, watch performances from both adult and youth choral and dance groups, eat traditional dishes like Currywurst and European pastries, and sip on cool seasonal brews or warm Glühwein. This festive occasion is sure to warm hearts and fill bellies while kicking off the merriest of seasons at our home away from home: The German American Societies of San Diego. Tickets are $5 and they will be available at the gate. Club members, volunteers, Military and youth under the age of 21 are free. Ideal for ages 6-8! In this six-week course, students will explore the fundamentals of design while working hands-on with clay. Students will learn how to transform a lump of clay into a variety of forms, culminating in a final project that showcases their skills. Ceramics offers a multi-sensory learning experience that supports different learning styles and encourages problem-solving, fine motor development, and confidence through experimentation and revision. Along the way, students will also strengthen collaboration, critical thinking, and an appreciation for creativity, culture, and community. Parents are welcome to drop off their child for class or stay in our space during the class while students create. Feel free to choose what works best for you!
