You’re invited to join the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library and the La Jolla Historical Society for a special Growing Together event as part of the Athenaeum’s Free Teen Art series on Sunday, June 5, from 4–6 p.m. Created especially for middle and high school students, this free after-school program invites you to explore your creativity through hands-on art activities and friendly fun with La Jolla’s vibrant cultural landscape. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in artist-guided drawing and watercolor painting with illustrator Lori Mitchell, as well as drop-in creative activities hosted by Coastal Defenders, including recycled oyster shell stringing and oyster-inspired art.
