The San Diego Watercolor Society proudly presents “Under the Moon”, juried by award-winning artist, Angela Chang. The water-based media exhibition runs July 30 – Sept 17, 2023 at our Gallery in The ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. The Opening Reception is Friday, Aug 4, 5 - 8 p.m. with over 95 ready-to-hang original paintings plus refreshments and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts. The circus is in town at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum! To celebrate our summer Circus Exhibit, the San Diego Model Railroad Museum will host a Circus Family Day! From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on July 15, make your way around the museum while participating in circus-themed crafts, a Scavenger Hunt, and games! Enjoy face painting and balloon animals by Miss Toby the Clown from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. and mini-lectures throughout the day. Media Arts Center San Diego (MACSD) In partnership with University of California San Diego (UCSD) will offer Free workshops for Beat Making, composing, and podcast classes at the City Heights Idea Lab starting in July. The Beat Making class will have a stipend of $300 per session and film composing will have a stipend of $150. That means that students are paid to participate as long as they meet minimum attendance requirements. For more infromation visit: mediaartscenter.org
