Anchored in Freedom: An Independence Day Celebration honors America’s 250th birthday and the U.S. Navy’s deep-rooted history at Liberty Station through a community-wide celebration held on July 3, 2026. Presented in partnership with Love Thy Neighborhood—the organization behind the beloved OB Christmas Parade—the event will feature a patriotic parade with themed floats honoring freedom, service, and community. Drawing on Love Thy Neighborhood’s long-standing parade experience, the procession will serve as a centerpiece of the celebration and a highlight of the semiquincentennial year. Set on the historic grounds of the former Naval Training Center, Anchored in Freedom brings neighbors, families, and visitors together for a meaningful and festive tribute to America’s founding and the generations of service members who trained at Liberty Station.
