  • Join City of San Diego’s Transportation Department-Urban Forestry for an "Urban Forestry Storytime." Enjoy listening to a read-aloud programing, hearing from a professional arborists, and learning about the trees and plants that grow in the city of San Diego. This program is an introduction to the world of plants in the city for children of all ages. Each Storytime will be around 45 minutes and will focus on earth-friendly picture books, discuss what urban forestry is in The City of San Diego, and will include a craft. The original and best ballpark golf experience features a new 9-hole course that will celebrate Halloween as golfers are transported through a spooky Haunted Golf Trail within the ballpark. Golfers will have the unique opportunity to take shots onto the playing field from various ghastly and ghoulish tee boxes that will be stationed at signature ballpark locations such as Home Plate and the Upper Deck.   • Inside SDPD is a dynamic, behind-the-scenes experience that allows community members to walk in the shoes of a police officer for just a few hours. Led by San Diego police officers, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in de-escalation, use-of-force, vehicle stops, and simulated firearms training activities. You'll also see the K9 unit in action and experience first-hand what it's like to be a cop. This educational and interactive experience is designed for all physical levels, including mobility device users. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Her visionary programming showcases luminaries like Kennedy Yanko, Swoon, Derrick Adams and Bisa Butler. A notable alumna of Christie’s Education Art Business program, Mashonda skillfully merges her passions for music, art, and entrepreneurship. She has fostered impactful collaborations with initiatives like Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD and Gucci’s Chime for Change, as well as esteemed institutions such as The Whitney Museum and PAMM. Additionally, she has curated exhibitions for galleries and art fairs across the globe.
