She performed at SXSW this year, has over 2M+ views on her flute beatbox videos on TikTok and Instagram. She is featured on countless radio stations and playlists across the country —WORT, 88.9 Milwaukee, Café con Ritmo, Electro Chill Pop, Mood Boosters…— and the Senegalese soccer anthem, and was recently Editorial Playlisted on Apple Music and Spotify. NOAMZ released her self- produced EP TEXTURES June 1st that explores the DnB and UKG soundscape and mixed identity. She released her ambient project Retrouvaille July 22nd to help heal the souls of those who need it <3 She performs regularly across the country, and especially in SoCal, where she is currently based, on her solo project and also with her flute quartet, Black Flute Brigade About Studio Sessions. Mission Hills Heritage (MHH) will be showcasing the neighborhood’s remarkable collection of Mid-Century Modern architecture at its 19th Annual Historic Home Tour on Saturday, September 26. Often overlooked as a modernist destination, Mission Hills is home to one of the region’s largest concentrations of Mid-Century Modern residences, including works by renowned architects Frederick Liebhardt, Lloyd Ruocco, and Homer Delawie. The self-guided tour will feature architecturally significant homes that showcase the hallmarks of Mid-Century Modern design: clean lines, open spaces, innovative use of materials, and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. Visitors will explore homes terraced into Mission Hills’ hillsides, a residence organized around a lush interior courtyard, and a home perched above a canyon. A special highlight will be the Robertson House, a Lloyd Ruocco home owned by a local school and opening to the public for the first time. Guests are encouraged to visit the house last, where they’ll find refreshments and a Mid-Century Modern furniture exhibit with pieces by Eames and John Lloyd Wright, along with paintings by San Diego modernist Richard Marks. The tour begins with coffee and vendor displays at registration. Guests will receive wristbands for access to each home and can explore at their own pace, with knowledgeable docents at every property sharing each home’s history and architectural significance. Scripps Research invites YOU to visit our La Jolla campus, meet our scientists and experience the excitement of scientific exploration. With exciting demonstrations and hands-on science activity stations led by dozens of our graduate students and scientists from laboratories across Scripps Research, visitors can explore topics in chemistry, neuroscience, viruses and bacteria, aging and longevity, drug discovery, cancer biology, and much more. Science enthusiasts of all ages—from the very young to the young at heart—will find fun activities and moments of wonder at Scripps Research Discovery Day, from eye-popping chemistry demonstrations and the ever-popular liquid nitrogen ice cream, to microscopes offering a peek at cells and microbes, and a virtual reality exploration of the tiny world of viruses. We’ll also share the latest news about our research into new medicines that one day may provide treatments and cures for conditions that affect millions. This is a free, family-friendly event, but pre-registration is requested.

Somali Family Service presents the 2026 Annual Day of Dignity Community Resource Fair, Saturday, September 19th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Colina Del Sol Park, 5319 Orange Ave., San Diego, CA 92115. A program in partnership with Islamic Relief USA, Day of Dignity consists of a series of events held throughout the nation to help individuals and families in need gain access to essential and basic needs including food, hygiene kits, school supplies, and clothing. Community partner organizations and stakeholders join in distributing resources which promote and bolster self-sufficiency among local residents.
