We will be showcasing many fun, sustainable activities, products, and services that will help you reduce your impact on the environment, save money, and live a greener lifestyle. Be inspired to be more environmentally friendly with topics that range from zero waste living to how to properly compost your own waste. This free event welcomes all ages, so gather friends and family to show Mother Nature some love this Earth Day! The event will feature the following activities for free: • Fix-it-Clinic – Have something that needs fixing—electronics, sewing, mechanical or otherwise—bring it to the Fix-it-Clinic where one of our experts will help you diagnose and fix the problem. • “Cutify” – upcycled shirts and bags and watch them go from boring to awesome! • Reuse and Repair Area – Learn all about ways to reuse, upcycle, repurpose, and repair before tossing something out at the Reuse and Repair Area. • Free Food Waste Kitchen Caddy – Make food waste collection easy, come by and pick up a FREE food waste collection caddy for your kitchen countertop. • Free Compost Giveaway – Replenish the soil health of your yard and garden, FREE compost will be available for residents to pick up. Load your own (bring a bucket or a bag; supplies are limited). • Artist Alley – Gift your eyes with the sight of beautiful art creations with environmentally safe art exhibits at the Artist Alley. • Bike Corral – Opt for your human-powered vehicle (your bike!) and check it in at our designated bike-only valet located on the northeast corner of the park. • Sustainable Vendors – Gain knowledge and browse products from 40+ environmentally conscious companies and community partners. From the organizers: Please join St. Paul’s in welcoming Irish recording artists Tommy and Saundra O’Sullivan for an evening of traditional and original Irish music. Tommy and Saundra own, manage and perform at O’Sullivan’s Courthouse Pub in Dingle on the wind-swept southwest coast of Ireland, a renowned center for Irish Folk Music. Tommy is a master guitarist with “A tenor voice that has all the ring of Waterford crystal which has only ever served smokey whiskey”– Sean Laffey, Irish Music Magazine. His wife and musical partner Saundra hails from Texas and was a nurse in her former life. Of them, the prolific Irish music reviewer Nicky Rossiter said: “The husband-and-wife team from Dingle must surely be the best exponents of what Irish folk should be.” If all goes as planned, Tommy and Saundra will be joined by local Irish musicians and maybe even dancers! Please join us for a memorable event. St. Paul’s Cathedral is a San Diego architectural treasure and wonderful acoustic venue. The O’Sullivan’s concert series is sponsored in part by a travel grant from Culture Ireland. All profits from your $20 per ticket donation will go to support the Friends of Cathedral Music at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Friends of Cathedral Music is the community outreach arm for the music department at St. Paul's, known throughout San Diego for its’ excellence and as a major contributor to the cultural life of the region. Your donation goes to support the wide array of musical offerings and resources the Cathedral annually offers in support of the community with practice and performance spaces for musicians, performers, and other artists from all around San Diego and the world. Groups ranging from San Diego Symphony, San Diego Youth Symphony, San Diego Master Chorale, Voices of Our City Choir (the “Golden Buzzer” recipients on America’s Got Talent), Villa Musica, student recitals, and more utilize the Cathedral spaces and unique assets throughout the year.
