The Lupus Research Alliance is hosting its annual “2025 San Diego Walk with Us to Cure Lupus” event Saturday, November 22, 2025. This in-person fundraising event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the community who are passionate about finding a cure for this debilitating autoimmune disease. Also included are inspiring speakers, light refreshments, fun festivities, and a Kids Zone. All are welcome. Thirty-nine San Diego Potters Guild juried members fill the Spanish Village Art Center patio with thousands of handcrafted pots, unique and distinctive, choosing the clay, form, shape, design, surface, decoration, glaze and firing technique. There'll be colorful bowls, wonderful plates and serving platters with imaginative designs, hundreds of beautiful mugs, carved and decorated vases and bottles, fabulous teapots, unusual planters and complex sculptures. Featuring the Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra directed by Dr. Angela Yeung, the performance samples the Western art music composers' interpretation of exoticism: selections from Lully's Le Bourgeois gentilhomme, Weber's Incidental Music to Turandot, Beethoven's Ruins of Athens, Ibert's Escales, and Holst's Beni Mora. Soprano Emily Ortlieb will perform the Bell Aria from Delibes's Lakmé and “Asie” from Ravel's song cycle Shéhérazade. All Saints Episcopal Church offers both indoor and outdoor seating.
