  • Sunday, January 29 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. This workshop is designed to introduce students to the art of wet or Nuno felting. High quality merino wool and a silk scarf are used and they are lovely to wear against the skin (no itchy wool here!). This centuries old method of making cloth or fabric from the highest quality wool fiber is easy and fun. The process for most wearable felted items takes 3 hours or more to complete, which is why these pieces are more expensive than commercially made items. Each one is truly “unique” and you will never see another exactly like it. Well-felted pieces will last a very long time if cared for and stored properly. You can count on enjoying it for years to come. The end product in this workshop is a scarf made by you! It serves as a beautiful gift or something special and cozy to wear. No experience necessary. Ages 16+ welcome. Material fee: $35 payable to the instructor at the start of class. Students receive a kit to make this project and all of the tools from the kit go home with you so you can continue to make felted objects. Social Media Facebook | Instagram | Twitter

  • Saturday, January 14 from 12-4 p.m. No experience necessary. Ages 14+ welcome! In instructor Jeanine Ertl’s class, students will weave together in a space of colorful creativity and openness. She will provide instruction on weaving, a warped lap loom and a rainbow of recycled sari silk ribbon and yarn fibers to ignite your imagination. And we’ll weave together, learning and playing with the basics of the process from start to finish, each creating a unique handwoven that can be hung or draped, according to your desires. Please feel free to bring any items you may want to incorporate into your weaving, like interesting fibers, foraged and gathered natural objects, shells with holes, beads, etc. you may want to incorporate into your weaving. Each Weaver will complete a one-of-a-kind Handwoven Wall Hanging. In addition, if you find that you’re in love with the practice, you will have an option to purchase the loom you are working with, as well as additional fiber and tools to continue at home. I’ll have tea and water on-hand, as we explore mindfully making in a space of creativity & harmony with others. • Scholarships available • Military and sibling discounts Social Media Facebook | Instagram | Twitter
