At 18, South Korean Yunchan Lim has just made history as the youngest ever Gold Medal winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, wowing both the judges and the audience with his spectacular performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. He’s been described as “a mind-blowing once-in-a-lifetime talent,” “a phenomenal talent,” and “the singular most spectacular talent I have ever seen” by seasoned concert pianists around the world.
