  • Join the Library for the 2022 Summer Festival Jazz Concerts. Sponsored by the Friends of the Coronado Library and Hotel Del Coronado, concerts will take place every other Friday from June 3-August 26. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each performance. On Friday, August 12 the Young Lions Jazz Conservatory (YLJC) will share their talents with the Coronado Library. This event will double as the finale for the Library's annual Summer Reading program for kids, teens, and adults. Attendees will enjoy a sweet treat at the end of the performance. The mission of YLJC is to enrich young lives, and the San Diego community where they live, by inspiring imagination, intellectual curiosity, character, and self-confidence through jazz music instruction provided to middle- and high-school students; to facilitate exclusive performance opportunities for young musicians at public venues; to promote diversity and inclusion; to foster awareness and appreciation of jazz music in the community through live performances and education.
