A San Diego man who allegedly smuggled potent greenhouse gases from Mexico into the United States is the first in the nation to ever be prosecuted under a recently enacted law aimed at curbing climate change, it was announced Monday.

Along the coast, mostly cloudy conditions are expected this week, with daytime highs in the low to mid-60s.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Monday, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.898.

The centers are located at the Spring Valley County Library and Mountain View Community Center.

The dates of potential exposure are from Sept. 15, 2023 to Feb. 21, 2024.

Flood victims can apply for federal assistance through April 19.

The announcement comes after a judge struck down San Diego's COVID-19 vaccine mandate, saying only the state can make that a requirement.

Earlier this month, supervisors unanimously voted to oppose any further placements of sexually violent predators until local jurisdictions are able to fully participate in the placement process, including having full veto authority.
