San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer joined the chorus of elected officials paying tribute to the life of the late Georgia Congressman John Lewis Saturday.

Because of the pandemic, organizers took the historic Pride Parade march through Hillcrest online with a slide show of photos from 46 years of the parade, which started in 1974.

Temperatures are expected to be the same Saturday and Sunday with highs along the coast ranging from 73-78 degrees and inland highs reaching 78-83.

The flag, raised during a small ceremony Friday morning, will fly all weekend and the colors of the rainbow will light up the County Administration Center and county parking garage every night during San Diego Pride Weekend.

Racing is slated to resume July 24 in what will now be a four-day race week, adding Monday, July 27, to account for the lost weekend.
