“THE TRUMAN SHOW”(1998. 103 minutes)
On the air. . . unaware. Peter Weir’s subversive, metaphysical media satire features Jim Carrey as Truman Burbank, an insurance salesman who lives every moment under the unblinking gaze of hidden cameras and finds himself the unwitting star of a popular TV show. With Laura Linney and Ed Harris.
FILM FORUM CORONADO is held in the Winn Room at the Coronado Public Library twice a month, on the First and Third Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., with a brief introduction of a classic or contemporary film, followed by the film screening and a discussion afterwards, led by Ralph DeLauro, as time permits.
The program is presented by the Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival.
