Don your pajamas for our all-new Polar Express Experience!
This ticketed before-hours event will immerse children with special holiday activities around the museum, running Polar Express models, and story time with St. Nick himself, where he will read the classic Polar Express book. After Santa goes back to the North Pole, enjoy a day of museum admission.
Children 2 and up - $20
Ticket includes:
- Polar Express story time with St. Nick under the tree in the Rollin’ in a Winter Wonderland holiday exhibit
- Decorating craft ornaments to take home AND put on our wreath
-Goodie bags including cocoa, cookies, and a Polar Express silver bell
- Be a special helper to our engineers to help to customize the museum’s Christmas Train that will run all day in our Toy Train Gallery!
- Special early morning hours and all-day museum access
Adults - $13.50 (the regular price of all-day museum admission!)
Infants under 2 years old - FREE
- Reservation required, even though the ticket is free.
- Free Infant ticket does NOT include goodie bags, crafts, and other giveaways.
San Diego Model Railroad Museum
The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is the largest and only accredited scale Model Railroad Museum in the United States. SDMRM has collections of some of the first scale model trains ever to be built in the entire world! Plus, the museum has over 27,000 square feet of exhibiting layouts featuring the world famous Tehachapi Pass Exhibit, Historic San Diego and Arizona Eastern Exhibit, SoCal's Largest N'scale Exhibit, O-Guage Exhibit, and award winning Toy Train Gallery. The museum has extended summer hours.
