San Diego Legion Hosts Mobile Blood Drive with San Diego Blood Bank

Give Blood, Get Rugby! Did you know that sports fans and blood donors aren’t the only ones passionate about helping their communities? The San Diego Blood Bank and the San Diego Legion are no different: the two teams joined forces in 2020 and have been successful in promoting blood donations within the community.

Blood is essential to help individuals survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. This lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. The need for blood is constant.

San Diego Legion will be hosting a mobile blood drive at SD Legion Headquarters on January 9th, 2022 from 10AM-3PM.

To be eligible to donate, you must:
-Be at least 17 years old.
-Weigh at least 114 lbs.
-Be free of major cold or flu-like symptoms.
-Have a photo ID with birthdate
