Character in All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy with Nicole Le
This is the third of four Literary Salon meetings on Cormac McCarthy’s "All the Pretty Horses" being held in January.
In this workshop we will cover questions like: do the usual principles of character—desire, flaw, physicality, specificity—still apply when an author never takes us inside their characters? How does McCarthy’s authorial voice intersect with the way we understand his characters?
For best results, participants should plan to finish reading the novel before the meeting.
Date | Tuesday, January 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
