You’ve written your story, but something is wrong. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but you believe it’s a serious problem. How do you know what to fix? In this seminar-style course, author/publisher Mark O’Bannon discusses how to analyze and fix a story. One of the main reasons that stories fail is because the writer is using obsolete techniques.
Sessions' description:
• First Session: You’ll learn some of the advanced writing techniques used by professional writers such as J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter), J.J. Abrams (LOST, Star Trek, Star Wars) and Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad).
• Second Session: You’ll learn how to break down a story into its essential elements so that you can create a plan to improve your work.
• Third Session: Learn how to use simple techniques to fix a broken story.
• Last Session: Discover how you can take an average story and turn it into a great story.
This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to see if a story will work (and make money) or if it will fail. Discover how to recognize a broken story and how to fix it before you put time and money into your project. Bring a pen and paper for notes.
