Westwind Brass Concert

The "Pleasure of Your Company" music series sponsored by the Scripps Ranch Friends of the Library welcomes back the Westwind Brass on Sunday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m. in the intimate setting of the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center. This premier brass ensemble is comprised of Elizabeth Meeker Howard and Karl Soukup, trumpets; Mike McCoy, horn; Eric Starr, trombone; and Kyle Mendiguchia, bass trombone. They will perform “Sonare Metalli,” a concert of sonorous brass music spanning from the Renaissance to the 21st century. Works by Samuel Scheidt, Victor Ewald, Shafer Mahoney, and Stephen Paulus will be featured.

There is no charge for the concert, although donations are appreciated. Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center is located at 10301 Scripps Lake Drive near Miramar Lake.
