LUNAFEST Film Festival is an annual fundraiser for Soroptimist International Oceanside-Carlsbad. The 2022 Lunafest will include a celebration of their 75th Anniversary. SIOC is part of a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Soroptimist International celebrated their 100th Anniversary this October. Proceeds benefit the “Live Your Dream” Scholarship programs and Dream It Be It. Here’s a sneak peek at the eight inspiring new films featured in this year’s LUNAFEST®. Back in 2001, LUNAFEST became the very first traveling film festival featuring films by women, about women. For more than 20 years, LUNAFEST has celebrated the work of over 170 filmmakers and raised over $6.5 million for women’s causes. Join us and Play A Part at LUNAFEST 2022.

Our mission is to inspire people through education and outreach to preserve the Agua Hedionda Lagoon as an accessible and healthy watershed. This 400-acre lagoon is home to a wide array of flora and fauna and invites us to appreciate our water resources through such uses as a YMCA day camp, recreational boating, a mussel and oyster aquaculture facility, a white-sea bass hatchery, a desalination plant, and a power generating plant. It connects us to a greater world in so many ways. Come join the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation in our work to preserve and protect this valuable resource.
