What inspires an artist? There are countless possibilities to answer this question, all as individual as the artists themselves. But throughout the history of art one of the consistent inspirations is ‘travel’ - the location and surroundings in which the artists find themselves. As the summer months are generally a time for travel, in today’s docent-led talk we’ll join Timken artists in their travels around the world and examine works inspired by their journeys.
