Composer and DJ Mason Bates returns to present "Philharmonia Fantastique: The Making of the Orchestra". This stunning new concerto and film created by Mason with multi-Oscar® winner Gary Rydstrom and celebrated animator Jim Capobianco, sees a magical Sprite fly through the instruments of the orchestra to explore the nexus of creativity and technology. Conductor Jason Seber leads one of Bernstein's glorious works from "West Side Story", a beautiful ode to unity, "Umoja", from composer Valerie Coleman and Mason Bates’ "Soundcheck in C Major", the first piece played in The Rady Shell’s inaugural concert.
