Summer Solstice marks the beginning of the new season, the longest day and shortest night of the year. What better way to celebrate than in nature with an outdoor writing retreat in beautiful Kate Sessions Park. For this pre-Solstice gathering let’s take ourselves and our notebooks to the grassy slopes to observe, interact with, and reflect on how nature responds to warmer days and longer daylight hours. We’ll begin in the still-bright light of day and watch the sun as it descends into the watery horizon.
Kate Sessions Park is situated on the border between La Jolla and Pacific Beach and offers stunning views of the city, Mission Bay and the Pacific. Amenities (parking, restrooms) are available. The exact location will be sent to you, along with more information, when you register for the retreat.
