"Unsung Heroes", is a short story highlighting black veterans tremendous contributions to the United States Armed Forces. Their stories and experiences often go unrecognized and undocumented.

Richard Woods is an African American veteran, who experienced racism and segregation growing up in a small town in Texas. Only to be drafted into the Armed Forces to experience the same thing, on a much deeper level. Despite those challenges, Richard vowed to serve his country as a Marine and fight in the Vietnam war.

Peter Okojie and his wife Teanna Woods Okojie are passionate filmmakers, documenting people of color, and the black community.

This is an ongoing series of short form documentary stories centered around black veterans and other inspiring stories of Africans & African Americans.

We want to serve as an outlet to highlighting their contributions, efforts and spotlighting the values they add to our society.
