Stop by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture's drop-in pop-up event at this special black box venue to learn more about the Creative City initiative, share your insights into the creative future of your neighborhood and surrounding communities, and help us create something unique in our hands-on art-making experience. Fun for all ages, and refreshments will be provided (while supplies last!).

City Heights/Weingart Library And Performance Annex
As part of the City Heights Initiative, a public/private partnership between the city and Price Charities, the two-story library building and neighboring park opened in November 1998. The City Heights/Weingart Branch Library serves one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in San Diego and is the busiest city library for public computer usage. Connected to the library is the Performance Annex, a black box theatre that offers a variety of dance and music performances, along with lessons for adults and children. The Performance Annex is the only theatre that the city owns and operates.
