At 1:00 p.m. Aging in Place: How To Do It Well, presented by Jacqueline Silverman, CSA, CAPS Aging in Place Specialist
Ms. Silverman will give us valuable insights on living independently, home modification tips that go beyond the basics and fresh perspectives on the essentials for aging gracefully and safely. A topic for elder caregivers, family members and seniors.
At 2:30 p.m. The History and Legacy of the Montford Point Marines presented by Gerald Hampton, National Montford Point Marine Association/West Region VP, Chapter 44 President
In honor of Black History Month, we will learn about the Montford Point Marines, the first African Americans allowed to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1941. The Montford Point Marine's beginnings, training challenges, the NMPM Association and the Congressional Medal Issuance.
Meetings are held in Bldg T200 on the Oceanside campus.
