GRAMMY®-winning violinist Gil Shaham returns to San Diego for the West Coast premiere of Mason Bates’ Violin Concerto, an explosive work showcasing Bates’ masterful modern style. Music Director Rafael Payare leads this sonic expedition, which includes Respighi’s monumental tone poem Pines of Rome and Ravel’s beloved Boléro.
