Second Tuesday Explorations: Suspense & Tension

Second Tuesday Explorations is a monthly gathering of creative writers that fosters support, inspiration, and community. Second Tuesday is a generative meeting. New topics for each session will challenge writers to explore and expand their craft. Generative writing prompts will encourage you to grow and learn in exciting new ways. The first hour will be spent introducing the prompt followed by a sustained ‘free-write’ period. During the second hour, writers will be invited to share their writing with the group.

Open to writers of all genres.

Sharing your work within a safe, supportive community will help you discover and strengthen your voice.

April: Suspense & Tension: We will explore ways to sustain tension and create suspense in your writing. If you are working on a story, this is a good class to bring in a draft and do some rewriting! Techniques we will study will include setup, seed-planting, delay, image patterning, and complications.
