America's Finest City Half Marathon and 5K is one of San Diego's fastest and most scenic half marathons. Run from the Cabrillo National Monument atop the tip of Point Loma, along San Diego Bay, Harbor Island, Embarcadero, past the Star of India, through downtown San Diego to an unforgettable finish in historic Balboa Park.
America's Finest City Half Marathon and 5K is a part of the In Motion Events SoCal Triple Crown race series, which also includes the Carlsbad Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K, and the GOVX San Diego Half Marathon and 5K. This trio offers a variety of course layouts and scenery, providing athletes with a fun and unique running experience in distinct parts of San Diego city and county. Athletes who participate in each race in the same calendar year, no matter the distance they participate in, will be awarded a SoCal Triple Crown medal to celebrate their accomplishment of completing the race series. Runners simply register for all three events separately, no additional registration or fee is required to qualify for the SoCal Triple Crown finisher award.

Balboa Park
Welcome to Balboa Park - the nation's largest urban cultural park. Home to 15 major museums, renowned performing arts venues, beautiful gardens, the San Diego Zoo and other attractions, the Park has an ever-changing calendar of museum exhibitions, plays, musicals, concerts, and classes—all in the beautiful and timeless setting of this must-see San Diego attraction. The Balboa Park Visitors Center, located in the National Historic Landmark House of Hospitality building, is your primary resource for information about the Park. Each year, the Visitors Center staff and volunteers assist more than 500,000 Balboa Park visitors from all over the world. To help Balboa Park guests decide how to spend their time in the Park, Visitors Center volunteers offer brochures, maps, audio tours and information about museum exhibits, special events, recreational activities, free Park guided tours, transportation, dining options and more. Hours: The Balboa Park grounds are open 24 hours a day, the Visitors Center is open 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily and museum hours vary by institution.
