How can we respond to the current planetary ecological emergency? In his acclaimed book, "To Know the World," Mitchell Thomashow proposes that we revitalize, revisit and reinvigorate how we think about our residency on Earth. In this special lecture, Dr. Thomashow will discuss the central ideas of his work, showing how and why environmental learning is crucial to human flourishing.

Dr. Thomashow is a former university president and currently consults with colleges and universities on environmental and sustainability issues. He is the author of five books, including To Know the World: A New Vision for Environmental Learning and The Nine Elements of a Sustainable Campus.
