Summer Solstice marks the beginning of the new season, the longest day and shortest night of the year. What better way to celebrate than gathering with a group of writers around a traditional Solstice bonfire.
For this Solstice celebration let’s take ourselves and our notebooks bayside in San Diego’s beautiful Mission Bay to gather around a fire-ring and write our way into the shortest night. We’ll begin in the still-bright light of day and watch the sun as it descends into the watery horizon and evening begins. Bring your beach chairs and writing materials. Participants will be sent the exact location and directions prior to our gathering.
