Career Quest is a discussion panel aimed at kids ages 8-13 who would like to hear from adults working in different career fields! We'll ask presenters all about their jobs: how did they know they wanted to go into this field? What education and training did they need to get their job? What does a typical day, week, or month look like? What are their favorite and least favorite things about their job? While registration is not required, we encourage kids to register so they can indicate their questions for presenters.
You can register online here. September’s Career Quest will focus on veterinarians!
Audience: Recommended for kids ages 8-13.

Mission Valley Branch Library
The Mission Valley Branch Library is one of the thirty-five branches of the San Diego Public Library system. The 19,760 sq. ft. facility was opened July 20, 2002. The Library received an Orchid Award from the San Diego Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for "Best Institutional Design" and "Best Divine Details" for the lighted tree columns/sculptures throughout the facility. The Library includes a large community meeting room, seminar rooms, a children's library, an outdoor patio with a children's garden which has a flowing river sculpture, a computer lab and a mezzanine and terrace. Its excellent collection of books and media, central location, and close proximity to retailers and a trolley stop have made it a popular Library destination for many San Diegans.
