San Diego Climate Week Kickoff Event: Cycling towards Cleaner Air

Join San Diego Climate Week and BikeSD for an exciting evening at the Mingei International Museum in beautiful Balboa Park to celebrate the launch of San Diego Climate Week! This community-focused event will spotlight the importance of clean air and feature a panel of local leaders dedicated to ensuring all San Diegans can breathe safely. Enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks while connecting with fellow advocates for change.

This event will commence with a community bike ride led by Bike SD starting at Trolley Barn Park, to Bird Park and down the Pershing Drive Bike Way, taking 6th Avenue up to the Park. Leave your bike at the Bike Valet provided by BikeSD.

Cycling is highly encouraged but not required to attend. Those who walk, bike or take transit to the event will be entered in a raffle for a free electric bike!

Schedule:

5 p.m. – Meet at starting point ( Trolley Barn in North Park)
5:30–6:15 p.m. – Community Climate Bike Ride
6:15–6:45 p.m. – Roll into Balboa Park, sunset snacks and beverages (sunset at 6:33 p.m.)
6:45–7 p.m. – Welcome remarks
7–7:45 p.m. – Panel discussion: Clean Air for All
7:45–8 p.m. – Q&A
8 p.m. – Ride out

Residents' Free Tuesday is Third Tuesday of Each Month In appreciation of support from San Diego County residents, Mingei International Museum is participating in Residents Free Tuesday. Free admission is available for all San Diego County residents including: Students at local colleges and universities (must show ID), active duty military (must show ID) and part-time residents / vacation home owners (does not include time share owners) Mingei International is set in lush surroundings near 17 other museums.
