Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is turning good vibes into a great cause with its annual Day of Service, a global celebration honoring the legacy of Jimmy Buffett.
On Friday, September 4, the hotel’s rooftop 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar will come alive with live music, tropical cocktails and island-inspired fun from 5 to 9 p.m., all in support of the San Diego Music Foundation. The free, community-driven event invites guests to enjoy a sunset celebration while giving back, with a benefit concert headlined by Buffett Beach Band, a travel-themed silent auction and interactive experiences that capture the spirit of Buffett’s laid-back lifestyle and commitment to service.
Throughout the evening, a portion of food and beverage sales, along with silent auction proceeds, will directly benefit the San Diego Music Foundation, supporting local music education and outreach programs. The celebration continues all weekend long with additional live music, pop-up experiences and themed specials, extending the impact beyond a single night.
As part of a brand-wide initiative, Margaritaville locations around the world will participate in the Day of Service, with the City of San Diego officially proclaiming August 29 as the official Margaritaville San Diego Day of Service.
