"Luiseño People & Traditions: Living Our Heritage"
Since time immemorial, the Luiseño people have lived in relationship with the lands, waters, plants, animals, and places of our traditional territory. Our culture is not something of the past—it is living, practiced, taught, and carried forward by each generation.
"Luiseño People & Traditions: Living Our Heritage" invites visitors to learn about the history, culture, knowledge, and continuing traditions of the Luiseño people. Through stories, cultural materials, artwork, and traditional practices, the exhibit highlights the enduring connections between Luiseño people and the land.
This exhibit honors Luiseños’ ancestors, celebrates cultural knowledge, and recognizes the generations who continue to live, teach, create, and carry our heritage forward.
