Supervisor Paloma Aguirre’s annual Día de los Muertos celebration is back!
Día de los Muertos is a cherished Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives and memories of those who have passed. Far from a day of mourning, it is a vibrant expression of love and remembrance, filled with music, color, and community.
This year’s celebration, Recordando los Sonidos del Pasado, honors the music that brings our loved ones, memories, and stories back to life.
WHEN: Saturday, October 24, from 3 to 8 p.m.
WHERE: County Administration Building Courtyard | 1600 Pacific Highway
Join us for live music, ballet folklórico, mariachi, food trucks, local vendors, face painting, and three community ofrendas honoring family, friends, and pets.
Be part of the celebration:
Submit a photo of a loved one for us to print and include on a community ofrenda. Guests are also welcome to bring a photo to add to an ofrenda at the event.
Submit a song they loved, you shared together, or that reminds you of them. We’ll add it to our community playlist!
